Yesaya 15:9

15:9 Indeed, the waters of Dimon ¹  are full of blood!

Indeed, I will heap even more trouble on Dimon. ² 

A lion will attack ³  the Moabite fugitives

and the people left in the land.

Yesaya 19:22

19:22 The Lord will strike Egypt, striking and then healing them. They will turn to the Lord and he will listen to their prayers ⁴  and heal them.

but I will heal them and give them rest,

[15:9]  ² tn Heb “Indeed I will place on Dimon added things.” Apparently the Lord is speaking.

[15:9]  ³ tn The words “will attack” are supplied in the translation for clarification.

[19:22]  ⁴ tn Heb “he will be entreated.” The Niphal has a tolerative sense here, “he will allow himself to be entreated.”

[31:2]  ⁵ sn This statement appears to have a sarcastic tone. The royal advisers who are advocating an alliance with Egypt think they are wise, but the Lord possesses wisdom as well and will thwart their efforts.
